Both the Tacoma TRD Off-Road and Tacoma TRD Sport are capable pickups, but they have notable distinctions. With additional protection from skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, an improved suspension system, and optional Crawl Control, the TRD Off-Road is better suited for off-road activities. Additionally, the TRD Off-Road offers more potent performance alternatives thanks to a readily available V6 engine that has a 6,400-lb towing capacity.
